Makeup Artist Licensing in Delaware
Delaware does impose a license requirement for makeup artists in the state. The Delaware Board of Cosmetology & Barbering has a minimum requirement of attendance for at least 70 days in school for makeup artists. The Board administers two exams that must be completed prior to application for a license. License applicants must show documentation of completion of the 10th grade and be a minimum of 16 years old. The cost of a license in Delaware is $143. After you graduate from a makeup artistry program, you will have the skills and knowledge needed to be successful on the required exams.
